Exciting News: The Transformation of Shayna's Village at Shalom Orlando Begins!
At long last, the eagerly anticipated renovation of Shayna’s Village at Shalom Orlando, formerly known as the Jewish Community Center in Maitland, is officially underway! We’re thrilled to announce that this 5,000-square-foot space is transforming remarkably.
This ambitious project will see the creation of a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen, versatile classroom spaces suitable for a wide range of activities for all age groups, dedicated Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy offices, as well as Mental Health Offices, and a captivating Snoezelen Multi-Sensory Room catering to infants, adolescents, and adults.
The interior demolition was completed in less than five days, and the next phase will involve framing new rooms and reconfiguring existing ones. Working in close collaboration with the Shalom Orlando Internal Team, the accomplished architects at RGO Design Group (led by Rob Owen), the seasoned kitchen consultants and designers at Mathias Food Service, and our team of highly trusted and skilled subcontractors, we are on track to achieve our grand vision.
Our projected completion and grand opening is January 2024
